We need to dress decently

I HAVE observed that as a society, we have a lot of conflicting situations in as far as culture, human rights and maybe gender-based violence pronouncements are concerned.
Recently, we have been attacking the media for what could be termed as indecent exposure of women’s body parts.
However, not much criticism has been heard about people who dress and behave indecently in public, apart from the media being attacked.
We are also alive to the fact that we have cultures that need clarifying with the Human Rights Act.
Right now, one Zambian artiste  is under fire for playing traditional cousinship with a half-dressed Ngoni woman, least did he know that activists are watching.
Interestingly,  I have never heard of any counsel about how some ceremonies are conducted as in conformity to human rights protocols.
Are we ready for total detachment from our cultures? Already, we cannot physically discipline our own children like in old days for fear of human rights violation and this has caused more anarchy, especially in schools where teachers can only discipline pupils to some extent.
