VICE-PRESIDENT W.K Mutale-Nalumango has called on African countries to leverage the continent’s growing population for robust growth and enhanced prosperity.
She said that the population of Africa was poised to grow from 1.5 billion people to nearly 2.5 billion people by 2050 and would be the youngest and fastest growing population in the world.
Ms Mutale-Nalumango said this demographic trend coupled with the abundant natural resources presented an array of opportunities for robust and inclusive growth for Africa and the entire global population.
