THE Government has urged the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) member states to enhance their joint efforts and tap into more resources to bridge the infrastructure gap.
Commerce, Trade and Industry acting Minister Charles Milupi said bridging the infrastructure gap would make cross-border trade, value addition and industrial development more profitable.
Mr Milupi, who is Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Minister said the COMESA region suffered from critical infrastructure gaps in road, rail, maritime and air transport, energy and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
