PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says the New Dawn Government wants mothers in Zambia to give birth in safe and hygienic environments.
President Hichilema said that was why the Government had seriously committed itself to providing every hospital, particularly the maternity wings countrywide, with running water and hygienic materials.
President Hichilema said this in an interview with journalists and through a posting on his Facebook page after he presented more than 120 hampers to Christmas babies and expectant mothers at the University Teaching Hospitals (UTH) in Lusaka yesterday.
