THE Chess Federation of Zambia (CFZ) has been forced to shelve the phase three of the national team selection trials to a later date due in view of cholera.
Additionally, the venue for the third round trial matches was set for the Heroes National Stadium and was set to attract 32 players from across the country.
In a statement issued yesterday, CFZ deputy general secretary Benjamin Mulenga said it was incumbent upon the federation to reduce the movement of people into the city that had recorded a huge number of cholera cases.
