THE Chinese community in Zambia has donated 25 storage water tanks to help the fight against cholera through the provision of clean water.
Making the donation through their mission, Deputy Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Wang Sheng said the ongoing cholera situation threatened the Zambian people, thus the Chinese government was sympathetic with the situation.
Speaking during the handover of the tanks at Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU), Mr Wang said the tanks had the capacity to provide clean water to 42,000 people per day.
