NOTHING can be solved by brandishing guns and other weapons in the face of authorities. Nothing can be solved by pointing a gun in the head of your parent.
By this I mean the United Party for National Development (UPND) president who says that if police deny them the right to demonstrate, they would demonstrate without any permission.
In other words, they would use lawlessness, anarchy, violence to achieve their political goals.
Will urging UPND’S MP’s to disrupt Parliamentary proceedings to press Government to release the draft constitution viable?
History has shown that the cause of World War 1 was to solve the world’s problems.
But the engineers of that infamous war had no idea of the consequences.
Indeed, in the wake of that war, entire empires disappeared. That tragic conflict proved to be the prelude to the bloodiest century mankind has ever known.
Revolutions and strikes became almost common thing.
UPND may have nothing to use to gain popularity of the masses, especially in urban areas.
But employing violence, anarchy and lawlessness may open another chapter of political self-destruction besides poor leadership.
