MILLERS have assured that the country is food secure and has in excess of 700,000 tonnes of maize to last until the next season.
Millers Association of Zambia (MAZ) Andrew Chintala said the country still had enough maize to last until the next harvest.
Mr Chintala said there were still some stocks which were not captured by the National Stock Committee meaning there was still a lot more maize on the market.
He said the country was currently not exporting maize as the available stocks were only for local consumption.
