CHIEF Nkambo of the Lamba people of Masaiti District on the Copperbelt Province has been elected new chairperson of the House of Chiefs for the year, 2024 after going through unopposed.
Chief Chamuka of the Lenje people in Chisamba District, Central Province also went through without a vote cast as deputy House of Chiefs chairperson for the same period.
Chief Nkambo takes over from Chief Chisunka of the Ushi people in Mansa District, Luapula Province, while Chief Chamuka takes over from Chief Choongo of the Tonga people in Monze District, Southern Province.
