Zambia’s cholera fight in $1m boost

THE European Commission Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) through UNICEF and the World Health Organisation (WHO) has provided US$ 1 million to the cholera response in Zambia.
As part of the intervention, ECHO would contribute US$ 1 million to UNICEF and WHO to support the joint efforts towards Zambia’s cholera response.
According to a statement by UNICEF in Lusaka, while cases of cholera in Lusaka had decreased, other areas like Copperbelt, were seeing an increase.
