By ELIAS CHIPEPO –
CHAMPIONS Nkana and last season runner-up Zesco United have been excused from today’s MTN-FAZ Super Division Week Two matches owing to their 2014 CAF Inter-club fixtures this weekend.
Nkana face Egyptian giants Zamalek in a CAF Champions League second round first leg at Nkana Stadium on Saturday, while Zesco are away to Ghanaian side Medeama in the Confederations Cup second round first leg on Sunday.
The match involving Nchanga Rangers and Green Buffaloes will be played on Sunday leaving Red Arrows, Power Dynamos and Napsa Stars to battle it out for sole leadership of the log after the three sides won their opening matches.
Warriors v Arrows
Arrows head to Kabwe full of confidence following their 4-0 demolition of Nakambala Leopards and will be eyeing another win over Kabwe Warriors to maintain top slot.
But the airmen need to be wary of Warriors, who will be aiming to bounce back from the 3-1 defeat away to Power and kick-start their campaign.
And to do that, coach Wesley Mondo will bank on the likes of Thomas Mbolela, Dick Ngwenya junior and Siloni Jere, while Arrows coach Oswald Mutapa junior will be expecting a good run from Stanley Nshimbi, Adubelo Phiri, Patrick Musonda, Daniel Sibanda, Shadreck Malambo to get him another three points and maintain their winning run.
