I AM highly skeptical about the current MMD wrangles aimed at hounding out its president Nevers Mumba for the party’s dwindling fortunes.
In my view, MMD is simply beyond redemption.
It had mismanaged the affairs of this country during its 20-year rule.
In essence, only divine intervention may salvage it from total collapse.
It appears practically impossible for this party to bounce back to power.
Come 2016, it’s the hour has gone! For its downgrade, no external forces are necessary as some people claim apart from waning time.
Even if Dr Mumba is replaced by anybody else, nothing much will be achieved apart from the resources which will be wasted and distinct structural changes.
Therefore, the best MMD can do is to disband itself completely so that its members can join other political parties like the Patriotic Front which is politically viable.
