IT is shame that in this era and when the world is becoming a global village, where some African countries still demand for Visas from fellow Africans visiting their countries.
The story that Zesco United Football Club players and officials needed visas to travel to Ghana for their away fixture made sad reading.
It was sad because Zambia and Ghana are former British colonies and are represented on residential basis by High Commissioners.
Africa is in a hurry to develop and this can only come about when the cost of doing business is reduced and the issue of visas is one such impediment.
I suggest the scrapping of visas should be top agenda to the next African Union Heads of State Summit.
