Buffaloes 15 Nkwazi 25-
NKWAZI put up another splendid performance to stun Green Buffaloes to move into third on the Buildcon-Zambia Rugby Union (ZRU) national league table after the Week Nine games played.
The ‘Policemen’ are five points behind leaders ‘Men At Work’ Diggers, who were out of action together with champions and second placed Red Arrows, 23 points, owing to a good number of players picked for the 15’s national team.
Zambia 15’s squad is taking part in the Confederation of African Rugby (CAR) Africa Cup Group 1C tournament currently underway in Gaborone.
Nkwazi, who have already picked maximum points off Diggers and ‘Powerhouse’ Lusaka, headed into this match played at the Yotam Muleya Grounds in the Showgrounds missing key players but that did not deter them getting the victory.
With the likes of MacDonald Mashau, Andrew Mwape, Leonard Malipenga and Peter Lishika all with the national team in Botswana, Njekwa Silumesi rose to the challenge scoring a brace of tries with Roland Mhone and Charles Male scoring one each as Nkwazi won the match with a bonus points to keep their outside chance of challenging for the title alive.

Coach Joshua Lungu was all smiles as Lusaka picked up a win in Kabwe to move up to 19 points on the log thanks to a try by Given Miyoba that was converted by Kapindu Nyangu, who also added a penalty.
