AN unknown woman died in the early hours of Monday in Ndola after she was thrown out of a car that was involved in an accident.
The woman, whose age is not known, sustained a deep cut on her forehead and suspected internal injuries in a road traffic accident that happened around 07:00 hours at the cross roads of Blantrye Road and Independence Avenue opposite the High Court.
Copperbelt Police chief Joyce Kasosa said the accident happened when a Toyota Corolla, registration number ACX 730 driven by Rodgers Zulu, 28, of CHT 1921 in Chifubu Township in Ndola ignored the traffic lights and hit into a Ford transit minibus registration number ABD 9502 driven by Mackson Muchimba, 38.
The passengers in the corolla Alfred Zimba, 74 and Edna Zimba, 28, both of Kasongo Farm Number 4, sustained injuries and were admitted to Ndola Central Hospital.
“The unidentified woman died later at the hospital after the accident,” Ms Kasosa said.
She said no arrests had been made by Press time and Police were still investigating.
