MULTICHOICE Zambia has mooted to bolster its content and viewership in the face of more competition from other pay television organisations that are also working hard to spread their footprint.
Company acting public relations manager Mumbi Mutale said at the just-ended MultiChoice Africa Limited ‘content showcase’ that the brands were being improved on the lines of ‘BBC Lifestyle’ and others which are creating greater impact on the audience.
He said MultiChoice would continue to ‘stick the neck’ above other pay television firms that are present on the highly competitive market
Mr Mutale said the just -ended content showcase extravaganza on the island nation had opened the firm to many more viewers, producers, professionals and other stakeholders to the brands on offer on more than 100 channels.
“First and foremost, this is the first time we have hosted such a show. It has helped showcase our content. The brands we have are unique. We stick our neck above all others,” he said.
Mr Mutale said the extravaganza had obviously showcased some of the captivating products so many people may not have chance to experience.
During the occasion, Multichoice Africa welcomed some of Africa’s known celebrities, media and content owners and providers to the event dubbed Africa’s Biggest Content showcase.
Some of the leading networks such as the BBC, Channel O, and Supersport showcased their brand to the hundreds gathered at the Trou Aux Biches Resort & Spa venue.
A leading digital pay television operator in Africa, Multichoice Africa offers digital multi-platform, multi-channel television entertainment.
Mr Mumbi said the company stood on a proud legacy that had been built by delivering the highest quality local and international channels on its DStv and GOtv platforms.
