GOVERNMENT has officially received a health centre and two staff houses constructed by the American Friends of the community in Shiwang’ndu’s Sela area in Muchinga Province.
Health Deputy Minister Chitalu Chilufya received the facility constructed by a couple Fred and Ruth Brink who have since left the country on behalf of the Government on Thursday evening.
The health facility would be commissioned in October this year.
Dr Chilufya who was flanked by area Member of Parliament Stephen Kampyongo said the Government appreciated the gesture portrayed by the American Friends of the Community in providing quality and equitable health care services closer to the families.
Mr Kampyongo, who expressed similar sentiments, added that he was happy that various stakeholders had joined in helping the PF fulfill its promises which are aimed at up lifting people’s living standards.
Dr Chilufya also handed over an ambulance to Ilondola Mission Heath Centre in Shiwang’andu District.
