THREE men took turns defiling a 13-year-old girl in Kapiri Mposhi District yesterday, leaving her to nurse injuries on her private parts.
The three well-known men, who were in a group of eight, attacked the girl who was walking from her friend’s home.
The girl narrated that she had gone to see a friend when on her way back, the men pounced on her, defiling her one after another while others held her hands and legs apart as others covered her mouth.
Central Province Police Chief, Standwell Lungu, who confirmed the development said the incident happened around 19:00 hours when the attackers dragged her into a nearby shrub where they left her unconscious after the ordeal.
Mr Lungu said officers were already on the ground to bring the culprits to book and that police would ensure those involved were found.
“I can confirm that a 13-year-old girl was defiled after she was attacked by eight men but only three had carnal knowledge of her.
The girl who was briefly admitted to Kapiri District Hospital has since been discharged.
In another development, a Kenyan truck driver died on the spot while his lorry boy is nursing serious injuries in Chitambo Mission Hospital after the vehicle they were travelling in  overturned in Serenje District due to speeding.
The accident which happened near Kanona area occurred after the driver of a Benz truck registration number KBY 639A –ZE 538Z identified as Dayow Osaman went off the road and overturned, killing him on the spot around 10:50 hours.
Mr Lungu identified the lorry boy who sustained a fractured arm as  Abudula Aziz aged 24 of Kenya.
