chipolopolo training in Levy Mwanawasa StadiumBy SHAMAOMA MUSONDA –

CHIPOLOPOLO will face Mozambique this Saturday in the opening match of the Morocco 2015 Africa Cup qualifiers at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in a new jersey.
The team has however, maintained orange as the home jersey and green which has zigzag lines running down the strip for away matches.
FAZ Communications Manager Nkweto Tembwe said the replica jerseys will, however, not be available for this match. Nike still remains manufacturers.
“The national team will this week wear the new strip for the game against Mozambique. Nike still remains our partners, but we don’t have the replica yet. This game will go on in new jersey,” he said.
This is the second time Chipolopolo is changing kit since winning the Africa Cup in 2012, the constant changes are seemingly aimed at curbing pirated strips jerseys on the market.
Tembwe also announced that Chipolopolo would leave Zambia on Monday for Wednesday’s Africa Cup qualifier away to Cape Verde.
Without giving full details of travelling, as the FAZ was waiting on Government communication on the chartered plane which would have to leave from Ndola.
And the national women’s team will next week Tuesday go into camp to continue preparing for the Africa Women Championships in Namibia this October.
Tembwe said Coach Charles Bwale has summoned 30 players led by team captain Kabange Mupopo.
Mupopo, however, will not be available for camp immediately as she will have to leave for Morocco to lead the Africa team in the inter-continental athletics Championships later this week.
