By KALUMIANA KALUMIANA –
STRIKER Jacob Mulenga says he does not have any hard feelings over his axing from Chipolopolo for the final two 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group F qualifying matches.
Mulenga is one of three high profile players dropped by coach Honour Janza for the November 15 trip to Mozambique and November 19 grudge home match against Cape Verde.
The striker from Turkish club Adana Demirspor said from base in Turkey yesterday that he believed that Chipolopolo will get the result needed to qualify in a fortnight’s time.
“Mr Janza is the coach. What he say goes. This is football, everyone has their own methods. The important thing is Zambia qualifies. That’s all that matters. May the good Lord grant us victory over the two games,” Mulenga said.
Mulenga has been dropped together with striker Jonas Sakuwaha of TP Mazembe in DR Congo and Power Dynamos goalkeeper Joshua Titima.
The major highlight for Mulenga in the 2015 Africa Cup Group F qualifiers saw him score Zambia’s lone goal in their 2-1 away loss to Cape Verde on September 10 in Praia.
The full team has Kennedy Mweene, Danny Munyau and Toaster Nsabata as goalkeepers.
The defenders are Stoppila Sunzu, Nyambe Mulenga, Davies Nkausu, Kabaso Chongo, Donashano Malama, Aaron Katebe, Chris Munthali, Emmanuel Mbola and Roderick Kabwe.
Changwe Kalale leads the midfielders that include Nathan Sinkala, Spenser Sautu, Shaderick Malambo, Rainford Kalaba, Chisamba Lungu and Charles Zulu.
The forwards are Bruce Musakanya, Patrick Ngoma, Emmanuel Mayuka, Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba and James Chamanga.
