BRIEF-CASETHE slump in copper prices calls for the Government to take stringent measures to ensure value addition of mineral locally to avoid adverse effects from the international price shocks.

Kudos to new system

THE Governmment has introduced a new payment system with effect from January 2015.
BRIEFCASE would like to welcome the new system which Secretary to the Treasury Fredson Yamba says will improve Government’s ability to efficiently manage public resources.
This, it is hoped, will help in resolving the difficulties the Government suppliers of goods and services go through when trying to get their payments.
