By JAMES KUNDA –
THE case in which Acting President Guy Scott is challenging his demotion as vice-president in the Patriotic Front (PF) failed to take off in the Ndola High Court yesterday.
Dr Scott obtained an injunction in the Ndola High Court, restraining the party from removing him from his position as vice-president.
The Acting President also sought to restrain the defendant, either by himself, servants or agents or any superior or member of the PF from suspending or expelling or taking any action adverse to his position as party vice-president until the matter was determined.
The matter was adjourned to yesterday but could not take off in Chambers as presiding Judge Anesi Banda Bobo was out of office attending a Judges Seminar that had commenced in Chisamba.
The Court will now have to set a new date for the case to be heard as both parties pursue the probability of entering an ex-curia or case settlement outside Court.
Dr Scott is being represented by Iven Mulenga of Iven Mulenga and Company, while the PF is being represented by Billingtone Mosha of Messers Mosha and Company.
