STRIKER Ronald  ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba has signed a three-year-deal with Egyptian club Wadi Degla.
Nkana spokesperson Cephas Sinyangwe said the striker is due to leave for Egypt today for a medical.
“This deal opens new opportunities for the young and upcoming player who is expected to enter the competitive European League under Wadi Degla’s sister club, K. Lierse S.K of Belgium,” Nkana said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Wadi Degla general manager Hazem Khayat said they were excited to have snatched Kampamba.
Kampamba won the MTN/FAZ Super League Golden Boot in 2012 and 2013 after scoring 15 and 18 goals respectively for Nkana.
He finished his final season with Nkana with 14 goals in 2014.
Kampamba’s move comes just two days after returning from the 2015 Africa Cup where he played one game in Zambia’s 1-all draw with DR Congo.
Nkana chairperson Everisto Kabila wished Kampamba well in his first foreign stint.
“This is a great move for the young boy. We saw his determination and we had not doubt that something big was coming the boy’s way.
As a club we are supportive and welcome this deal. This is the sort of exposure that we want to give to the players. Like they say, patience pays.
My word to Nkana FC players and other upcoming young Zambian players is that they should be patient and concentrate on improving themselves. Everything else will fall into place,” he said.
