NYIMBA District Commissioner George Phiri is impressed with the pace at which construction of Nyimba District Hospital is progressing.
Mr Phiri said yesterday that he was happy with the pace at which phase one of the K9.2 million hospital has progressed.
The contractor Wah-Kong Enterprise Limited was now doing trusses to the hospital in readiness for roofing.
“I am happy with the stage the Nyimba District Hospital has reached because the contractor is now doing trusses in readiness to start roofing. Roofing in the first phase of the construction may start as soon as possible,” he said.
The District Commissioner was expecting the contractor to finish with phase one of the project schedule.
Mr Phiri also expressed happiness with the progress on the construction of the 100-kilometre stretch by Motal -Engil on Nyimba -Luangwa road.
He said the contractor had assured him of tarring about 8 kilometres in a month.
