She said the CT scan installation has helped people around Kalulushi, Lufwanyama and many other surrounding areas to access services without struggling to seek services in far flung places such as Lusaka.
“We are happy that since the CT scan was installed we  have  received massive response as our patients are accessing the services without struggling to go to Ndola or Lusaka,” Ms Tembo said.
Ms Tembo added that the machine has been in operation and that they have not had any challenges.
She said KCH has the capacity to attend to all patients that go to access the CT scan services.
“We have the capacity to attend to all patients that are referred to get CT scan services and we have not had any situation where we sent people back without accessing the services,” Ms Tembo said.
However,Ms Tembo commended Government for the efforts made as  the CT scan installation at Kitwe Central Hospital is a step in the right direction in terms of people accessing quality health care
The CT scan is a technology that uses computer-processed X-rays to produce multiple images of specific areas of the scanned parts of the body without cutting.
The  multi million Kwacha scanner was installed in  October 2014, by  Government to enhance efficiency  and effective diagnosis.
