THE LSA Group of Companies yesterday donated K162, 500 towards the hosting of the 2015 Mopani/Redpath Zambia Open Golf Championship at Nkana Golf Club in Kitwe.
Madison general manager Ken Simwaba said at a presentation ceremony at Nkana Golf Club that his company was excited to be associated with the tournament.
“We are excited to partner with you in this year golf tournament. As responsible corporate citizens, we hold dear in the communities within which we operate and we are always excited when an opportunity arises which we can give back,” Simwaba said.
He expressed hope that the K162,500 will go a long way in supporting the tournament and that LSA Group of Companies was also looking forward to interacting with the Copperbelt business community.
Meanwhile, Mopani/Redpath Zambia Open organising committee chairperson Emmanuel Mutati said he was delighted that LSA Group of Companies was back as a sponsor for a second successive year.
“It is with partners such as the LSA Group of Companies joining hands with others like Mopani and Redpath Mining that we can together help to develop sport in Zambia,” Mutati said.
He added that the tournament was oversubscribed with 168 entries from 18 countries.
Nkana will host the Zambia Open for a successive year from April 23-26.
