A VEIL is an article of clothing or cloth hanging that is intended to cover some part of the head and face from as far as the 13 century BC veils have been in existence.
The lifting of the veil was part of ancient wedding ritual, symbolizing the groom taking possession of the wife and it is also the revelation of the bride by her parents to the groom for his approval.
There are some of the basic veil fabrics used to create today’s wedding veils it helps to understand a bit about textures and components of standards bridal veil fabrics in order to choose a truly unique veil for a truly unique bridal.
Your Memorable Wedding -New SunitaMost wedding veils are made of bridal illusion or glimmer illusion; they can also be made from other exceptional fabric like chiffon, organza, English net or silk tulle. Transparent bridal veil fabric is easy to see through that is why they are good for bridal veils.
The use of mosquito nets has been abused for a very long time now, it was believed that some fishermen used them as fishing nets some wedding designers are using them for wedding dresses and the bridal veil. In as much as it is a net, that does not make it a multipurpose function.
A mosquito net is an insecticide treated netting fabric, the material is 100 per cent polyester and pretreatment is impregnated with deltamethrin by slow heating process.
The treated nets are best used for the personal protection from malaria as they repel and then kill mosquitoes.
It is always advisable for pregnant women, men, ladies and under 5’s to always sleep under a treated net so by using it for the right purpose one is giving their family a safe night’s sleep and good health.
The nets that are used for bridal gowns are stiff and veil nets, mosquito net even though it is was given free of charge, it is not allowed because the chemicals used are not good for one’s body as they can give onea detrimental facial rash.
The bridal gown and veil fabrics are very easy to find, they are available in all shops where materials are sold and very affordable so a designer cannot fail to buy and has no excuse to use a mosquito net because the bride is paying for the gown, a good job has to come out of what one is doing.
An opulent veil was supposed to enwrap the bride like a precious present. All these years a mosquito net has never been used because it has a lot of effects on one’s body and it is not suitable for bridal gowns.
Bridal illusion is netting known as tulle a very fine net with tiny holes, it is a high quality fine tulle, the softest, this is the most commonly used fabric for a standard wedding veil by most bridal veil designers so as a result this is what most veils are made of.
The texture may vary from one manufactured lot to the next.
Glimmer illusion is like bridal illusion only that it is shiny while bridal illusion is matte also known as sparkle illusion glimmer illusion is just slightly stiffer than bridal illusion. Both the bridal and glimmer illusion are netting fabric, matte 100 per cent  nylon, and it is good for outdoor and beach inspired weddings.
Silk tulle is very beautiful and elegant luxuriant fabric that is why most bridal gowns today are made out of silk. French silk tulle is the most delicate and fragile because it has a very fine soft texture almost similar to the feel of fine hosiery and flows beautifully when the bride is wearing it.
The Italian silk tulle on the other hand is also made out of 100 per cent silk but is a little coarser to touch and has wider netting than the French silk.
Italian silk tulle fabric is more suitable for adding trims and so more readily used by bridal veil designers to create looks with trims when creating silk tulle based bridal veil, this fabric is made of 100 per cent  silk it more costly than some of the fabrics.
Chiffon is beautifully flowing and fluid veil since many bridal gowns are designed with chiffon this type of veil is desirable by some brides.
Organza is a thin woven fabric, elegant and semi-translucent, stiffer than other fabrics and it is a cloth like chiffon however organza is stiff while chiffon is limp.
Organza veils are transparent and the fabric is extremely smooth slippery texture flowing and light, making it almost as fluffy as bridal illusion and is made of synthetic polyester, nylon or 100 per cent  silk, good in all weather .
High quality poly organza will have a dull shimmer whereas a lower quality organza will have a noticeable high shimmer. Silk organza is a stiffer and coarser fabric than the polyester due to its natural fibers.
English net is a netting fabric, has holes like bridal illusion, but the fibers are thicker due to the polyester blend and so is best worn as a single tiered veil but an excellent alternative for the brides seeking non-tulle based wedding veil.
It is not as fluffy as bridal illusion and not a transparent, semi-transparent.
An English net veil is a favorite material for creating wedding veils because it flows, drape beautifully and gracefully, giving them a similar look to silk tulle veil.
A bridal veil can be made out of any kind of fabric but the mosquito net is not in this family, even if it is given free of charge use it wisely only for the prevention of malaria and not for business purposes which will lead to the endangering of brides lives.
It is important for the bride and grooms to remember that your wedding is about love, unity, joy and smiles. Do not let the money, family and decision making cause you to forget what it is all really about.
A wedding planner will ensure that the wedding day is seamless and will ultimately allow the bride and groom to be guests at their own wedding.
The April wedding colour themes are yellow, pink, blue (midnight, royal, navy, sky all these are in the family of blue), green, orange, red, white and any other pastel shade you can think of works well.
