Musakanya, who missed Zambia’s AAG final round first leg qualifier against Nigeria due to a hamstring injury, said he was ready to play a part in ensuring his team beats the West Africans to secure qualification.
The Red Arrows player was one of the three players, Spencer Sautu and Patrick Ngoma, who had been sidelined by injury and even missed the Chipolopolo friendly match against Rwanda.
“I am happy to be back in training and we need to work hard to ensure that we beat Nigeria and qualify. We hope the fans will come in numbers and support us when we play Nigeria who will be coming for a win,” he said.
Meanwhile, coach Fighton Simukonda has released six players from the team to enable them feature for Zesco United and Power Dynamos ahead of the weekend CAF Interclub competitions.
Simukonda said the players will get some game time by playing for their respective clubs.
He expressed happiness with the progress the team was making after going on a one week break.
Simukonda said 20 players had now joined camp and was expecting the foreign based players to start arriving at the weekend.
These are Evans Kangwa and Emmanuel Mbola both based in Israel, Mukuka Mulenga of Bloemfontein Celtic in South Africa for the match to be played at the Heroes National Stadium on April 11.
