THE 33 passengers, who were admitted to Liteta District Hospital after a bus accident in Chibombo on Tuesday morning have been discharged.
Central Province medical officer Rosemary Mwanza said all the 33 passengers had been discharged from hospital.
Fifty passengers were severely injured after the bus they were travelling in overturned in Chibombo.
Seventeen of them were evacuated to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka, while 33 others were admitted to Liteta.
The Power Tools bus registration number ACX 7615 was travelling from Solwezi to Lusaka when it careered off the road shortly after midnight near John Chinena area and overturned.
Many of the passengers suffered broken arms and legs, while others sustained deep cuts.
Four ambulances were called in from Lusaka to evacuate the injured passengers to hospital.
Some survivors complained that the identified driver had been speeding and is alleged to have dropped off two women shortly before the accident for raising concern over the manner he was driving.
