Mr Simujoba said Government is committed to executing all projects to accelerate national economic growth and subsequently improve the living standards of people.
He said in an interview at his office yesterday that, contrary to views from some sections of society that certain projects have stalled in the province, Government will successfully complete them.
“As a controlling officer, I want to assure you that no infrastructural project will stall in the province. Whatever challenges contractors are facing in executing projects, they will be addressed,” he said.
Mr Simujoba said the Patriotic Front administration is determined in ensuring that the on-going projects are completed in the shortest possible time.
He warned contractors implementing various projects such as roads and schools, against carrying out shoddy works which have become costly to the Government.
He urged civil servants to remain committed to work and ensure all Government programmes were implemented effectively within their timeframe.
Among the massive projects in the province are, the K31 million six-storey provincial administration at the old Choma airstrip grounds adjacent to the more than 60 low, medium and high cost houses for civil servants.
The commencement of construction works for Kazungula Bridge across the Zambezi River.
The US$259.3 project, whose construction works will start in a few weeks time, will be completed by 2018.
The project be financed by the governments of Zambia and Botswana with financial assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the African Development Bank.
On the Labour Day celebration, Mr Simujoba urged both public and private institutions to motivate deserving employees tomorrow by honouring them with various incentives.
