BARELY 48 hours after the Napsa Stars executive committee appointed Geoffrey Hamakwanda as coach to replace suspended Hector Chilombo the drama at the club has taken a new twist.
The club executive has now appointed former Red Arrows coach Alfred Mulawo  as the trainer to drill the team.
Mulawo was who appointed as interim coach will be assisted by Hamakwanda who was earlier appointed head following the suspension of Chilombo.
Napsa secretary Owen Chimpinde announced the appointment of Mulawo in a statement in Lusaka yesterday.
“We have appointed Alfred Mulawo, former Red Arrows coach, in an interim capacity to sit in for Chilombo who has proceeded on leave,” Chimpinde said.
Chilombo was on Monday slapped with an indefinite suspension because of the club’s poor start to the 2015 MTN-FAZ Super Division League season.
He was suspended alongside his assistant Evans Sakala and goalkeeper trainer Samuel Banda.
Chimpinde said the appointment of Mulawo was a temporal measure as the executive evaluates the team’s performance.
“Alfred will be assisted by Geoffery and Harry Milanzi in an interim position as the club evaluates clubs performance,”he said.
Mulawo, who also drilled Young Arrows, was coach for Division One South, Lusaka Tigers last season.
