By HELEN ZULU –
ARCADES Shopping Centre remains competitive despite the coming up of new malls on the Great East Road and other parts of Lusaka.
Arcades Development centre manager Patrick Nsama said Arcades has managed to compete favourably over the last 10 years because of its unique product range.
“Because of that unique product and approach we have taken I must say we have managed to compete favourably and suffice to say we can do better and currently as the center stands I think it has done very well given the situation and however remain very competitive in terms of management of our tenants, customers and also on how we engage our tenants,” Mr Nsama said.
Mr Nsama said the shopping centre industry in Zambia was still in its infancy stage and therefore, the developers decided to locate their shopping center in the catchment area.
Mr Nsama said in an interview in Lusaka yesterday that Arcades Shopping Centre had everything a Zambian needed ranging from household equipments, banks, eateries, fashion and design shops and entertainment.
He said Arcades remained among the top four shopping centres talked about in Zambia and remained focused to delivering a good service to its customers.
He said Arcades Mall offered a unique product compared to other shopping centres because of the way the centre conducts its business.
“We know how to remain a force to reckon with in this type of business. We know what our customers want and we know how we do business and we have applied good techniques,” he said.
