TEN beauties from three higher learning institutions are eyeing the  Miss Kitwe 2015 crown.
The beauty pageant contest to be held at Amigo’s restaurant in Kitwe on May 29,  will see ten beauty queens compete and the winner will walk away with a Toyota VitZ sponsored by Jan Japan
Miss Kitwe organising committee member Clive Kombe a.k.a Clive Alive, said in an interview that the contest will run under the theme ‘Looking after the vulnerable in society, a blessing for all’ in line with charity work that they will be conducting.
Kombe said 30 per cent  of the profit from the entry tickets sold will proceed to St Eugene orphanage centre in Kamatipa Township.
He said giving back to the community was a responsibility of every citizen.
Kombe said this year’s event will be different as it will see the winner walking away with a car as a reward.
Kombe who is also a radio Deejay at Hot Fm radio in Lusaka, said Israel, JK, Judy and Baska are among the top musicians that will be performing to spice up the show.
“This year’s event will be different from the previous ones because we have a car that is up for grabs, because  the winner will walk away with it, and apart from that, we have asked top musicians like JK, Judy, Israel, Baska among others to perform and spice up the show,” he said.
The ten models were selected from Copperbelt University (CBU), Copperstone University and  Zambia Institute for Business Studies and Industrial Practice (ZIBSIP).
Hope Chishala an anchor of the Hot Fm breakfast show loved by many Lusaka residents will be the Master of Ceremony(MC) together with Clive Alive.
The main sponsors for this event include Jan Japan, Original Beauty, Copperfield Mining and , Antelope Milling  among others.
