NKANA hope to move into the top six today when they visit Lusaka Dynamos in an MTN/FAZ Super League Week 10 fixture at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.
The 12-time champions are currently eighth on the log on 13 points and are eight points behind leaders Zanaco who with other top four sides Zesco United, Power Dynamos and Nkwazi are off duty this weekend due to international player obligations.
Nkana face Dynamos looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven games after picking up three wins and as many draws prior to this weekend game.
“Our target is to play well and to make sure we keep the same momentum,” Nkana coach Beston Chambeshi said.
“The team is intact and those players who were on the injury list have recovered and I am happy with the input from them and hope we hope to put up a good game in Lusaka.”
However, Nkana will be without captain Donashano Malama who is away on COSAFA Cup duty with the national team in South Africa.
Eleventh-placed Dynamos, who clinched a lucrative kit sponsorship with Huawei Technologies last week, on the other hand will be hoping to recover from their first loss in six games after suffering a 2-0 away defeat at Mufulira Wanderers last Saturday.
This match-up will be televised live on Supersport.
Forest v Blades
Standing in the way of Nkana’s top six ambitions are Konkola Blades who are just above them in seventh spot and also have 13 points.
Blades are away to third from bottom Forest Rangers at Dola Hill in Ndola, who are struggling following three consecutive defeats in the run-up to today’s home match.
However, Forest may provide a ‘banana skin’ to Blades’ aspirations in Ndola.
Eagles v Assembly
Free-falling Green Eagles hope to stop their plummeting form on the table after a bright start that saw them flirt with top stop in April.
Eagles host ailing National Assembly at Independence Stadium in Choma.
It is a critical time for Eagles who have now lost their last three games.
Two points separate 10th placed Eagles from fourth from bottom Assembly who have 10 and 8 points respectively.
Tomorrow, Green Buffaloes will be hosting Mufulira Wanderers at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka in a lunchtime kick-off to be broadcast live on Supersport while Napsa Stars will clash with Nakambala Leopards to complete a double header in the capital city.
The postponed fixtures are  Zesco United v Nchanga Rangers, Power Dynamos v Nkwazi and Zanaco v Red Arrows.
