Dynamos 3 Nkana 0
POLICE officers had a tough time restraining livid Nkana fans who wanted to vent their anger on coach Beston Chambeshi after watching their side hammered by an ever improving Lusaka Dynamos in a MTN-FAZ Super League Week 10 fixture.
The defeat that comes a year tomorrow after coach Masausto Mwale died in a traffic road accident on the Ndola/Kitwe Dual Carriageway was a bitter pill for most Nkana fans that thronged the stadium as quick action by the police prevented them from gaining access to the dressing rooms.
However, some fans managed to throw some obstacles they could lay their hands as they walked away failing to digest the defeat that befell them against a youthful Dynamos side.
This match beamed live on SuperSport saw Dynamos open the scores in the 22nd minute through Coincide Luchanga who tapped in a goal after an exposed Nkana defence failed to clear its lines.
Elvis Kataya extended lead in 28 minute when he dribbled passed the defender to slot in a goal past Rabson Muchelen’ganga before scoring his brace 11 minutes later.
Nkana’s first chance at goal came in the 11minute but Simon Bwalya’s goal off a Shadreck Musonda cross was ruled offside. Bwalya nearly scored a face saver for Nkana in the 59 minute but his effort was tipped over the bar by Maybin Phiri.
Forest 2 Blades 1
Forest Rangers got back to winning ways after coming from behind to beat Konkola Blades in an MTN-FAZ Premier Division League Week 10 fixture in Ndola, FELIX MALUNGA reports from Dola Hill.
Blades made a false start when Frank Chibuye gave them a lead with a low shot in the 28th minute before two headed goals by the Besa brothers, Joe and Malar on either side of the match propelled Forest to victory.
Forest restored parity at the nick of half time when Joe knocked in an inviting Mundia Makokwa cross.
Malar completed the Forest comeback with a glancing header past veteran goalkeeper Stephen Kabwe from another delicious-looking Makokwa floated ball on 85 minutes.
The victory for Forest, who before this fixture had lost three successive games, lifted them to 10 points and denied Blades, still on 13 points, a chance to break into the top six on the log.
Eagles 1 Assembly 2
In Choma, CHILA NAMAIKO reports that Green Eagles suffered their fourth straight defeat as their fall from grace continued after National Assembly came from a goal down to snatch a vital win at the Independence Stadium.
Junior Mwila gave Eagles the lead in the 48th minute but the visitors equalised 10 minutes later through Stanley ‘Giggs’ Banda before Humphrey Kakubo sealed victory for the ‘Parliamentarians’ who moved to 11 points, just one ahead of their hosts.
