BWina2y REBECCA MUSHOTA –

VICE-PRESIDENT Inonge Wina says the wedding of a young couple at Lusaka’s University Teaching Hospital (UTH) has proved that love can conquer everything.
A Lusaka couple, Suzyo Muzuri, an accountant at National Milling and Diniwe Bowa, an employee of Curves Zambia had a historical wedding in G11 Ward in UTH on Saturday where the groom is admitted after being involved in an accident two weeks before their wedding.
Mr Muzuri sustained serious injuries to his right leg which led to the amputation of his limb.
This did not compel the couple to cancel or postpone their wedding plans as they went ahead to tie the knot at his hospital bed.
Ms Wina who visited Mr Muzuri yesterday, said the action by the young couple was a true sign of love.
She said Ms Muzuri had done well to be brave and gone ahead to marry her lover.
“The couple needs support and counselling because they are a young couple,” Ms Wina told UTH managing director Lackson Kasonka soon after the visit.
Dr Kasonka said Mr Muzuri was still in hospital because of the pain he was feeling.
He said he would be given an artificial limb which would allow him to move without difficulties.
