AGGREKO, the world leader in the provision of temporary power and temperature control services has appointed a Zambian mine expert, Sixtus Mulenga as non-executive chairperson for the Zambian office.
Dr Mulenga is expected to add significant experience to the integral role in on-going expansion of Aggreko operations in Zambia.
He joins Aggreko as the company continues its expansion across Africa through the provision of high quality, fast-track critical power supplies to state utilities and industrial customers throughout the continent.
Aggreko regional managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa David Taylor-Smith said Dr Mulenga brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organisation.
“We are delighted that Dr Mulenga has joined the Aggreko Zambia team.
He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our organisation, I am confident that he will play a key role in seeing us continue the already impressive expansion of Aggreko across Africa, particularly in the utilities and mining sectors,” Mr Smith said.
During a career spanning more than 35 years, Dr Mulenga has held senior management positions with numerous mining companies and taken leadership roles with various non-governmental and charitable organisations.
