WESTERN Province Deputy Permanent Secretary Bernard Chomba has bemoaned the poor work culture of staff at Mulobezi rural health centre.
Mr Chomba said it was sad that the health workers at the rural health centre had continued to display a bad work culture by mistreating patients.
Mr Chomba made an impromptu visit to the health facility yesterday where he expressed disappointment over the conduct of some health staff.
“I am very disappointed that even after several reminders for workers here to change their attitude towards work, things have not changed at this health centre.
The situation seems to be getting worse,” Mr Chomba said.
He said such civil servants needed to be moved or retired as they were frustrating the Government’s efforts in trying to give Zambians proper health care.
Mr Chomba also wondered what the monthly allocation of K400 was being used for when the facility was in a bad state.
