GRISLY suspected ritual killings have continued with the latest victim being a Kitwe man whose body was found with missing body parts and his stomach ripped open.
The unidentified man aged about 30 years had his rectum removed while the skin under the ampits was peeled off.
The body was discovered near a bar in Wusakile Township. No arrests have been made so far.
Copperbelt Police Commissioner Joyce Kasosa said investigations had been instituted to bring the culprits to book.
“We have received a report of an unknown man who was murdered on Sunday between 22:00 and 03:00 hours in Wusakile Township near Sunset Bar and some missing body parts,” she said.
The body is in Kitwe Central Hospital (KCH) mortuary.
Last week, a teenage girl was found murdered in Kapiri Mposhi with both her breasts and tongue choped off.
During the same period in Lundazi in Eastern Province, an albino woman was found with both arms cut off and several teeth extracted, while her husband was left unconscious after being stabbed.
Meanwhile, a three-month-old baby was burned to death after a sofa she was left on caught fire from a burning candle.
The baby who, has been identified by Abraham Mutalelesho, was sleeping when a bottle of powder caught fire before bursting into flames which landed on the sofa.
Lusaka Province Police Commissioner Charity Katanga, who confirmed the incident, said the baby died on the way to the hospital while goods worth more than K11,000 were destroyed in the inferno.
In another development, a security guard on duty at Pie City Restaurant has been found dead in Kitwe.
The man, only identified by a fellow security guard as Mr Mwendela, was found dead around 03:00 hours by Vincent Chanda who works at Zeemart Investment on Buteko Road.
Police later picked up the body which was at the KCH mortuary.
