THE Poultry Association of Zambia (PAZ) in collaboration with Agri-profocus (APF) is conducting a study on investment opportunities in the poultry sector.
APF and PAZ have been assigned by the embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Zimbabwe, which oversees Dutch interests in Zambia, to conduct the study on investment opportunities to identify strengths within the sector.
The aim of the study is to provide basic information on the Zambian market for poultry and identify opportunities for Dutch poultry businesses to invest and trade with Zambian partners.
The study is also aimed at providing basic information on current and prospective poultry export markets for companies based in Zambia.
APF representative, Claire van der Kleij said this in an interview in Lusaka.
Ms Kleij said that information about areas that held investment potential in the poultry sector in Zambia was very limited, adding that little was documented about the interests of Zambian investors in local and international poultry industry partnerships.
