POLAND is keen to establish trade links with Zambia in several sectors of the economy.
Head of trade and investment promotion section at the Polish embassy based in South Africa, Andrzej Krezel said his country had key sectors for international trade that Zambia could benefit from.
Mr Krezel, whose country is exhibiting for the first time at the ongoing Zambia International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Ndola, said top Polish export products included electronic, mechanical, transport equipment, steal and base metals.
He said in an interview that other products were plastics, rubber, chemical products, food products (meat, diary), furniture and white goods.
“I am here to look for trade opportunities. I think Zambia can be a great market for our products,” he said.
Mr Krezel will be in Lusaka to explore various trade opportunities with various stakeholders.
He said Poland had also exceptional growth in the service sector, largely driven by Foreign Direct Investment.
“I am looking forward to having high level talks with the Zambian business community so we can establish areas of trade,” he said.
