Health Deputy Minister Chitalu Chilufya said in an interview that the Government had disbursed K935,000 for the expansion and construction of modern infrastructure at the nursing school. Dr Chilufya said the fund would also cater for the procurement of teaching and learning material in an effort to enhance quality education services offered at the school.
“Government has allocated K935, 000 to Kalene School of nursing, this fund is meant for support infrastructure, expansion and procurement of learning and teaching materials,” he said
He said this was in a bid to offer advanced qualifications to school leavers planning to join the nursing profession at the institution.
Dr Chilufya said Government was committed to ensuring that nursing schools in the country were providing quality education services.
He said once the school infrastructure was upgraded with modern facilities, it would be able to attract and provide quality services.
Dr Chilufya said the issue of lack of teaching aids would come to an  end as the school would use the same funds.
