Ex-private secretary Chilufya dies

FORMER senior private secretary in the late President Levy Mwanawasa and Rupiah Banda’s regimes, Robson Chilufya, has died. He was 60 years old.
Mr Chilufya died in the early hours of Saturday at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) after an illness.
Family spokesperson Moses Lungu confirmed the death of the deceased, who is survived by seven children and six grandchildren.
Reverend Lungu said the funeral of Mr Chilufya would be held at his farm in Ndola’s Ibenga area on the Copperbelt while his burial would take place tomorrow.
Mr Chilufya also stood as Mpongwe candidate on the United Party for National Development (UPND) ticket and lost to current Member of Parliament (MP) Gabriel Namulambe.
“His body would leave Lusaka today (yesterday) around 10:00 hours for Ndola where the funeral is being held at his Ibenga farm. All friends and relatives are further informed that burial would take place today,” Rev Lungu said.
