FIVE Police Commissioners have been reshuffled, Police spokesperson Charity Chanda has said.
Western Province Police Commissioner Standwell Lungu has been transferred to Police headquarters where he takes up the position of Commissioner in charge of administration.
Charles Lungu who was director of the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) at headquarters would be acting as Western Province Commissioner.
Southern Province Commissioner Mary Chikwanda has been transferred to headquarters and she takes up the position of Commissioner Operations.
In Southern Province, Philemon Mutale who was Commissioner in-charge of administration at head office goes there as Commissioner.
Luckson Sakala who was a director at headquarters goes to Northern Province to act as Commissioner for administrative purposes.
Police spokesperson Charity Chanda confirmed the transfers in an interview yesterday.
“Yes, some commissioners have been reshuffled,” Ms Chanda said.
