THE Patriotic Front (PF) in Eastern Province, has said the ruling party should be given another mandate next year for it to ensure smooth implementation of various developmental projects.
PF Eastern Province chairperson, Andrew Lubusha  said during an address to new and old party members, when receiving defectors at Kagoro Primary School in Katete at the weekend, that the ruling party has managed to implement several national projects which people are happy with.
Mr Lubusha said Government was constructing the Great East Road, township roads in various districts, drilling of boreholes and providing other social amenities in the province, which was a sign of the PF’s commitment to national growth.
Mr Lubusha who was accompanied by provincial executive committee members said Government had procured some machinery from China for the drilling of boreholes in each village in the province.
He said the construction of a dam and water treatment plant by Eastern Water and Sewerage Company (EWSC) was progressing well in Katete.
“We have been sent here by President Edgar Lungu and our party General Secretary Davies Chama to see you and because of that as the PF in Eastern Province we can proudly say a number of developmental projects have been implemented by the PF Government and other developments are ongoing,” Mr Lubusha said.
On the defectors, Mr Lubusha said the ruling party had created room for growth and unity.
He said the party was intact and was becoming stronger on a daily basis through the joining of people from other political parties.
