By CHATULA KANGALI –

ELIF Business Solutions and the Copperbelt University (CBU) students have signed a declaration of execution of the 2015 national dialogue on the diversification of the Zambian economy.
The two parties signed the declaration last week after concluding a three-day economic diversification Indaba at Savoy Hotel in Ndola.
Elif Business Chief executive officer Edwin Zulu said during the close of the indaba  that, the team had since identified more than 80 industries across the country.
“During these two and a half days, we managed to resolve and validate the key sectors with  huge potential for diversification in each part of Zambia.
“Our objective was to identify five sectors in this province but right now am happy to inform you that we have identified more 80 industries of great potential across the country,” he said.
Mr Zulu said that tourism in Zambia was everywhere and that,  CBU had started a strategy which would help market the country’s tourism.
He said CBU was working on an initiative with his organisation to mitigate the current power shortage by helping water utility companies to generate electricity using water pipe lines.
He said the move would help water companies to have their own energy and save on costs.
Mr Zulu added that,  CBU and Elif Business Solutions were currently seeking partnership in spearheading the projects.
