CRIMINALS have brutally murdered three Chinese business executives and critically injured three others after raiding their residence in Kitwe.
The victims, whose hands and legs were tied together, are believed to have had their heads smashed with bricks and other objects.
Copperbelt Police chief Joyce Kasosa said the killing happened in the Garnetone area in the early hours of yesterday.
Ms Kasosa said the criminals, who gained entry to the Chinese residence within the backyard of the victims’ roofing manufacturing plant, Golden King, located near the junction of the Kitwe-Chingola Road and Garnetone turn-off, got away with an undisclosed amount of cash after blowing up the safe.
She said apart from the deceased, three others who were left critically injured, were taken to Sinozam Hospital in Nkana-West where they were battling for life.
Their names had been withheld until their next of kin were informed.
Garnetone area has experienced  a surge of attacks on the Chinese.
In March, this year, four Chinese were attacked at gunpoint and robbed of K35,000 cash and a vehicle.
The armed robbers waylaid the Chinese while entering the premises to their yard in Garnetone.
