A PATRIOTIC Front Member of the Central Committee (MCC) has called on party members to  explain to the masses, President Edgar Lungu’s vision of fostering socio-economic development in Zambia.
Siacheye Madyenkuku said, the PF administration is carrying out various empowerment programmes which people, particularly those in rural areas, will benefit from.
He said the developmental agenda of Mr Lungu required support from every party member to realise the Head of State’s vision of uplifting the welfare of all Zambians regardless of political affiliations.
He was speaking to youths at Mochipapa Research Football grounds in Choma’s Sikalongo area at the weekend at a local soccer tournament sponsored by PF Choma Central Constituency secretary Joel Kamoko.
“There is a lot that President Lungu has scored in developing our country, but the challenge is for us party members to help explain many programmes of development our Government is carrying out,” he said.
He said, the majority of people in rural areas lacked capital to start viable projects and needed to be sensitised on how to acquire loans from the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission.
He called for redoubling efforts among party members and civil servants to help Mr Lungu in addressing the global economic challenges that had not spared Zambia.
Mr Madyenkuku urged youths to desist from unproductive vices that could ruin their lives, citing illicit sex and beer drinking at the expense of education.
Mr Kamoko pledged to provide more empowerment incentives to the local people.
He appealed to Zambians to embrace President Lungu’s willingness to work with them in all sectors of the economy.
The Head of State has committed himself to working with the youths to ensure development of Zambia.
