A BUSINESS executive has appeared in the Lusaka magistrate court for allegedly swindling 10 people out of their hard earned cash by promising to offer them employment as general workers in the judiciary.
Susan Bwalya of house number B37 A old Kanyama allegedly pocketed K5,000 from the unsuspecting Lusaka residents whom she promised to get jobs for in the judiciary.
Bwalya in count one is alleged to have in May 2015 in Lusaka obtained K500 cash from Yvonne Daka by falsely pretending that the Government was employing general workers in the judiciary.
Others she allegedly swindled were Sylvia Kanjala, Esther Makusa, Annie Phiri, Susan Bwalya, Mary Mvula, Ruth Mwanza, Cornwell Mambo, Christopher Tembo and Chris Khola.
Bwalya got K500 cash from each of the 10 between May and October 2015.
Chief resident Aridah Chulu has allocated the matter to magistrate Judith Chiyayika where Bwalya was expected to take plea.
