AGRI PROFOCUS Zambia in conjunction with Agri-Business Incubation Trust (AgBIT) and SNV Netherlands Development Organisation in Zambia have embarked on  a market study to determine  investment opportunities in the horticulture sector.
AgriProfocus country coordinator Claire van der Kleij said the three organisations were conducting  market study to determine the investment opportunities in the horticulture sector.
Ms Kleij said the results of the study would provide the network input on which  the most important issues are  to work with the members of the platform.
She said the study was aimed at attracting investors in the Zambian horticulture sector.
Ms Kleij said this in an interview in Lusaka.
Ms Kleij said Agri ProFocus was organising a Regional Horticulture event in Rwanda scheduled to take place from November 25 to 27, 2015.
She said this event would put Zambia on the map to promote regional trade with countries such as Tanzania, Kenya, Congo, Rwanda among others and attract investors.
Ms Kleij also said AgriProFocus Zambia, SNV Netherlands Development Organisation and the Dairy Association of Zambia, were currently conducting a market study on the feasibility of Artificial Insemination Business Models for a Cooperative.
